The Distillers Edition is an annual limited release from Lagavulin that takes the core distillery spirit and treats it to a specific double-maturation process. For collectors, this particular 1991 vintage is part of the classic "Classic Malts Selection" era and is highly prized compared to modern iterations.

Brief Tasting Notes
Finishing Lagavulin's sharp, medical Islay peat smoke in thick, sweet Pedro Ximénez sherry casks creates a monumental flavor dynamic. The intense raisin sugars perfectly soften the ocean brine and bonfire character.
- Nose: Orange marmalade, dried cherries, leather, damp leaves, stewed apples, tobacco, hints of lapsang souchong. Thick bonfire smoke weaves beautifully with sweet holiday raisins and maritime sea salt
- Palate: Rich, coating, and oily. Brine, caramel, tobacco, anise, raisin, damp leaves, leather. The entrance brings old, dark sherry sweetness followed by massive waves of medicinal peat, wood ash, and cracked black pepper.
- Finish: Long, intense, and satisfyingly dry. Brine, orange peel, earth, charred wood, signing off with a sweet, lemony ash smoke trailing behind
