This is an early landmark vintage from Talisker's acclaimed annual 25-year-old cask strength series. Collectors heavily favor these early iterations (released between 2004 and 2007) because they were bottled at a natural cask strength, whereas modern Talisker 25 releases are permanently diluted down to a standard 45.8% ABV.

At 25 years old and a high proof of 57.2%, Talisker's intense, peppery, and explosive maritime character becomes beautifully refined, gaining a deeper, sweeter oak complexity.

• Nose: Elegant, coastal, and deeply sophisticated. It opens with gentle waves of maritime sea salt, ozone, and beach driftwood smoke. As it breathes, it reveals sweet vanilla fudge, orange oils, and soft beeswax
• Palate: Powerfully intense and oily. It coats the tongue with a wave of rich honeycomb and zesty citrus peel, which quickly explodes into Talisker's signature burst of white pepper, warming chili spice, seaweed brine, and dry wood smoke
• Finish: Magnificently long-lasting, drying slowly on lingering coastal minerals, sea salt, drying oak spices, and a final, persistent trail of sweet peppery ash
